Urgent Volunteer Needs, February 23, 2010:
1. Computer Specialist - We need someone with excellent computer skills to visit our office twice a month and ensure the proper functioning of our network, computers, printers, and internet. It would also be helpful to have someone who could be "on call" during business hours for urgent problems.

2. Bus Driver - Must have CDL BPS certification and have at least 5 years experience driving a school bus. We need a volunteer to drive the bus for some programs. We will provide training, a bus monitor to ride with you, and detailed route map.

CDC's largest ongoing need is for consistent and faithful volunteers to staff our year round programs. These programs include the Breakthrough Enrichment Program, the Middle School club program, the High School Club 7:37 program, and the Workforce Training Program.

If you would like to serve with us in a program involving children, please download and fill out our Volunteer Application. You may email or mail it to us at your convenience. If you do not have time to serve on a weekly basis, our two major volunteer driven events are the Pride for Parents Christmas Store (Second Saturday in December) and the Back to School Rally (Last Saturday in August, prior to Labor Day weekend).

Other opportunities for short-term service may include neighborhood beautification projects, housing rehabilitation, office assistance and minor home repair. Skilled labor is best for these projects, which will depend upon current needs of the ministry. Also, some of these projects may require the group to provide the necessary equipment and materials.
